A heartfelt message in a pure voice, it’s easy to relate to and is one of the year’s most talked about records. She is fast becoming one of the best kept musical secrets in the world.

The album title is simply amazing and speaks of its theme: she wants to feel whole again. As a result, this project is different from anything she’s done before. “I can’t get the feeling out of my head,” she admits. One listen is enough for you to know that it’s going to be nothing like anything she’s done before.

Stormi Maya is also happy that her fans have responded positively to her debut album. “I’ve always loved meeting new people and sharing my music with them. This has been a very positive experience for me.” Having signed to her own label, the success was undoubtedly helped by the support she’s received from fans online and off.

In addition to her self-releasing album, Stormi Maya is also working on a movie adaptation of her novel Bitter for starters. This has nothing to do with her music, though she admits it would be “great fun” if it was. “We’re making a movie because we’re interested in telling a story that doesn’t exist yet,” she explains. “The last thing I want is to be tied to the past with this project.”

For all those who love her music, she acknowledges that writing is one of her passions. She admits she has “so many ideas that just don’t seem to go away.” As she gets them down on paper, she shares them with everyone who reads them. “It’s good for my mind and my body,” she says.

Now, that she’s back on tour with her own band, Stormi Maya is looking forward to creating new material. “I just need some time away from my piano to focus on other projects,” she says. She’s got lots of ideas for the next album, though, and she’s happy to share them. “I hope that the next one I do will do what I’ve never done before.” As she puts it, “it feels great to know that I’m still putting out something great.”
